EAs and losing connection

I have an EA that once MT4 loses connection it becomes useless. I can't just turn it back on once the connection is restored (or in the case of IBFX, creating new accounts) I have to remove it and re-add it. Is this normal for EAs? Why shouldn't I just be able to turn the thing back on?

You should be able to. That is how most EAs work. Maybe this particular EA needs to be reset or something.

I'm having a similar problem with IBFX demos. Whenever I switch one back on it says invalid account.

It could be that some stuff is done on the "Initialization" part of the code and it requires that you add/remove it but actually.. could be just bad code. A normal EA would continue where it has left of (check open positions, open new ones if required and etc).
