silly question:

Somebody can tell me how to backtest EA systems ?
A friend of mine told me that under 'experts' he has a 'backtesting option', which I dont have.
I tryed to install mt4 again, but didnt find any option like this.

Any help would be appreciated

I think I found something under

Under the view menu select strategy tester or click the button with the magnifying glass on the top of MT.

I found out how to do and import historical datas.
Now I have a new problem

As my EA is used to me to give me only alert of buy and sell, To backtest it I replaced all the buy alerts with :

ticket=OrderSend(Symbol(),OP_BUY,0.1,Bid,0,0,7,"sell ",255,0,CLR_NONE);



and all the close alterts with:

OrderClose(OrderTicket(),1,Ask,0.1,CLR_NONE);

I get a strange result :

Basically it shows only the openorders results (and sometimes also wrong, as I tested life and Im sure of wht it does) , but never shows me the close of the orders, so i have no idea about my profit loss

I tryed to modify the order includeing take profit and stop, but at this point the backtesting returns me 0 rows ?

What is wrong ?

ticket=OrderSend(Symbol(),OP_BUY,0.1,Ask,3,Bid+20*Point,Bid-12*Point,"buy ",255,0,CLR_NONE);
I think i solved how to put the stop and take profit in the sendorder() but how is to close the order somewhere else into the script ?
Is not correct to use the function orderclose(ticket numer .....)
where ticketnumber is the ticket returned from sendorder() ?

Anybody can help me finding proper slippage for closeorder() with 5 digit brokers?.
I am getting Error : 129 (invalid Price) when i hedging EA try to close multiple positions.
