Quoting rusty105DislikedNot exactally, I have that document. But I remember seeing a post or a couple of posts regarding backtesting in MT4, and how to make it near 100% quality. It went on to explain how to import history, and how to make sure that the version you use for backtesting doesn't connect to any account, or it will over write the history file, etc.....
Thanks

Quoting skylineDislikedIt's a .pdf document really usefull written by Hendrick (Phoenix's creator) , on how to have 90% modelling quality (max possibly with strategy tester) not 100%.
It's located in first post of Phoenix 2007 thread.
Anyway here's link to pdf http://www.forexfactory.com/forexfor...chmentid=11627

Quoting traderlismissDislikedAll my trades for this week so far are in the wrong direction. I know they will turn around but I am wondering if everyone experienced sell trades on the GPDUSD, EURUSD, and AUDUSD?

On those settings your losses should be zero.... (mini account)
You made 740 pips in one week???
Are you on a standard account....????
GlennIgnored
Quoting Piece Of The PieDislikedYes, 740 pips.
I am on a standard account trading 0.1 lots.
As with most people on this tread, my settings have been changing, getting more conservative as I go.
I am only trading 6 pairs now.
Closed trades last week....
AUD/USD 1 for 16 pips
EUR/JPY 4 for 111 pips
GBP/USD 8 for 248 pips
USD/CAD 3 for 90 pips
USD/CHF 3 for 106 pips
USD/JPY 6 for 169 pips
My float has been staying pretty constant since changing my pipstep from 10-12 to 40. All of my losses were from hitting stop losses from a few weeks ago when the USD was trending over 200 pips and my stop loss settings were in the 200 range. (See post 1495).
5 trades have closed so far today for +135 pips.Ignored
Quoting rusty105DislikedVery nice
I wonder, could you tell me what settings you are using for USDJPY, I seem to not have any luck with this pair. I may close one trade once in a while with this pair, but not as many as you are. What percent, tp, sl, and pipstep. Are they the same for all the pairs you are trading? And if you are in a trade right now, is it long or short?
Thanks

Quoting cgldsmthDislikedso when you say "losses" do you mean the trade closed at the trailing-stop?Ignored
Quoting cgldsmthDislikedre. all trades being shorts. This is why I switched to the hedge version, so at least FB makes money on it's way while trending. what I really want is some coding expert to be able to alter the TP level so that the hedge trade in the trending direction is greater than the counter-trend trade.Ignored
