400 bucks aint that exxtravagant, and at times is actually worth it.
besides, 400 bucks pays the owner, who pays the staff and the suppliers, who pay their drivers, haulers, workers, who pay for the services they use, as well as their mortgage, and so on and so forth.
as opposed to 400 bucks going to a charity organisation, where a study shows that 2/3's of your money goes to the running of the organisation, and the rest of the 1/3 goes to pay the people that provide the relief. in some cases the people providing the relief are stretched over a couple hunderd people, which means, at the end, the poor kid in africa gets maybe $0.05 of your 400 bucks.
