Dear friends.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

I have trading LIVE for some time with Forex.com.
Lately, I have been experiencing bad “situations”. For the second time in 1 week, forex.com filled my order with the wrong rate, the first time was the FOMC (22 pips away).
Before 8:30ET, I opened a pending Stop order for EUR/USD at 1.2745…, this supposed to BUY when the price reaches 1.2745…
Anyway, I Saw 1.2745 in the “Dealing desk” and the Order still pending, WTF?... not again?!?!..

yes, after 20 seconds, the order was filled with 1.2755… 10 pips is nothing, but when you trade 5 lots, the perspective changes.
Really, forex.com starts to piss me off, as I remember, with the FxSol demo account this shit didn’t happened.
So friends, Anyone here trading live with FxSol? And Forex.com? any bad/good experience with this guys?

Good: Forex.com Java platform is great, good comments and easy to use
Bad: HTML version sucks pretty much,
Ugly: Filled orders at bad price

Best Regards

I had the same problem this morning as well!!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

Buy order in at 1.2727 order filled at 1.2755 <o></o>

<o></o>

When the fed statement came out I hit the buy button 5 time to get in and got in at 1.2883 -50 that day. I have a small account and I ask if I was trading with more money could I have gotten in faster they said maybe.<o></o>

<o></o>

Gain stands behind the spread but getting ur order filled when u want them to in another story!!!!!

I have an account with FXsol and their great besides on major new announcement the spread can reach to 25 apart but the platform and charting package is easy and I like that u can hedge, adjust ur margin and pip from the platform.<o></o>

That’s the point, forex.com is not filling the correct price, but on FxSol is doing it right…<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

Have been trading with forex.com long time ago, but since i changed my strategy, Im loosing "opportunities" <o></o>

<o> </o>

Adv9296, Fxsol can reach 25 pip spread? D A M N… how do you manage to trade with them. With my demo account at FxSol, didn’t have any problems when using orders.<o></o>

Hey Graco, same problem again mate?! Sorry to hear that...

To trade around news with forex dot com it´s no easy thing... and I´ve noticed they have made it harder since the last couple of weeks.
Don´t put orders, they won´t give you a good fill.
I had been using only market orders with them, but even with these it´s getting tougher to get filled.

They can reach up to 25pip spread what I try to do is get a fill for the market and place my orders in 10 to 15 min before data is released w/tight stop. This way if it goes up or down it will be close to my orders. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

<o></o>

Normally 12 to 15 pip away from the price it works sometimes and not.<o></o>

Edu, yeah man!… same thing again,
I don’t trade “the News”, I open the pending orders before news came out according to my strategy, supports, momentum etc.. (in my fxsol demo worked Extremely well)
Market orders are practically impossible to fill them with forex.com at that time, you click the Buy button, like 5-10 times, and then… you will be get a “bad” rate anyway.
as adv9296 said, you will be at the end of the run with market orders.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

Damn, I have to do something… I what my 10 pips back!<o></o>

Interestingly, I have been experiencing similar problems with FXDD. I've also heard of others with different brokers also experiencing similar problems. It's quite possible that the problems are being caused on the bank side. To be sure, though, I've moved my money out of FXDD.

I'm wondering if it's just not funny things happening because it's August. Maybe more experienced traders could comment on whether or not August gets some funny things happening as a result of reduced liquidity. I felt this same way last August, but, I'm not sure if it's a consistent problem.

Anyway, my plan is to open accounts with two different brokers so that I can diversify my interests in case I have a problem with one.

FXSOL isn't any better either. Their demo might be great, but I have been trading live with them for about 1 year now and am changing asap. Forget placing orders around news events because not only will they not allow you to place an order closer than 25 pips, but then they will slip you another 15-25 pips from your order! Fxsol has gotten really bad lately, and can not recommend them at all. Even on market orders, I get requotes all the time and when my market order finally goes through I look at my open position and I am -6 or -10 pips! I mean their spread is 3 pips and there should be no reason that I get slipped that much just from a market order. My advise look for a different broker, especially if your trade around news time.

Anyone have experience with AC-markets around news? Good? Bad?

Thanks

Thx JMKForex...
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO THINK

With Forex.com I haven’t lost any money in news hours, but… those Gaps, simply I don’t like them, since in the demo account in Fxsol those things didn’t happened to me, I Thought that Fxsol was the right platform to solve my inconformity,… but, LIVE in Fxsol seems to be different.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

I signed up with Nexgen Trading who are introcuding brokers to North Finance. Not one single problem. On the demo platform and Live, no issues with Buy Stops / Sell Stops, NFP, CPI news releases. When the market is most volatile, their spread increases to maximum of 4 pips (EUR/USD). Under normal market conditions it's 2 pip spread. Another reason why there's fewer hassles is because MT4 runs on your local PC and minimal data is sent via the wire. If you run HTML or JAVA, you're pulling/pushing more data - more bandwidth, greater possibility of system freeze, etc.

Just my opinion - use it, don't use.
a journey of a thousand trades begins with a single pip

Guys, I think there is not a single broker which will fill your order at the exact limit or stop price during news times....Prices just gap up or down, it's out of hand, you can't play this around because there is a hole in the chart...Due to the lack of volume, you can't tell if there were real trades in between or not, so don't expect exact fills, factor the slippage into your trading strategy...

Thanks,

Nader

I don't know if you can blame a Broker if he can't make your Market
order 20 seconds after a big news announcement. Trying to place a market order and you get what you get when the middle of a spike. A stop or a limit should be made during a big move if placed before hand.

Forex.com I don't like because I had a trade stopped out below a price I saw on their charts or their display. If I set a stop at xxx.50 and the bottom of any candle is xxx.52, I should not have been stopped. I gave them a chance to make good but they chose not to and they basically told me they saw
xxx.32 come up from one of their feeds they base their price on during that time. I took that as you can't trust the prices you see!!

If you want to see some tight spreads during volitility check out EFX Group, their spreads actually tighten up during news and such. Beyond that it can be a nightmare using their platform. No charts or reports. They are down alot, they have different servers that go offline and it gives you a flashing alarm on the screen. I see the alarm more often then I would like to.

I like FXSol's platform and might just start a live account for trades outside of news releases. Only bad I have heard from them is high spreads during the news.

Theres always Oanda but I'm starting to like the higher leverage from others.
