Right, Suranga. Any moving averages will ""eventually" get hit to signal a trade but the Strat Shadow MAs were based on many things including which MAs were consistently triggering trades from around 1999.

I'm really disappointed with the Suran/Lou discussion which turned out to you both falling out with each other - remember - we are here to HELP each other.

Another reminder - nowhere in these 2 threads does PASR teach to trade MA crossovers - that is a LOSER's game!

I'm not sure but I think Suran is getting his information from his Depth of Market, Order Flow and Volume Profile data.

Yet another reminder - PASR is simple and uncomplicated and still works like a charm (providing you UNDERSTAND it). I don't understand Depth of Market, Order Flow, Volume Profile and all this ""liquidity grab"" stuff and don't need to try either since PASR has been so profitable for me and therefore I have no desire to try something new - why rock the boat or change something which does not need changing?

{quote} Hi there Suran, What you're trying to discuss is about smart money concept, am I right? So that blue box you drew was a liquidity trap/ sell stops area. {image} I've been using Strat shadow for quite a long time, and comfortable with it. In fact, I can't live without it as most of my entries are from Strat shadow. But I've also applying price structure reading, especially how to not becoming a liquidity for someone else's order. So far so good. Shadow's useful for me as I can feel at peace for some reason. The EMA crossed can be understand...

It seems you understand PASR pretty good but why aren't you posting more often to help your fellow traders who have not yet grasped PASR? Anyway, thank you for this post.

Congratulations Strat, great trades

It would be great to have such confidence to trade those fast timeframes with hard earned money.

I decided to dissect a bit your today trades on EURO, so that everyone can learn from it.

I would appreciate your comments. I'm especially curious what was your thought process, when were taking the first entry, which I believe was rather aggresive.
Did you have SL right beneath the hammer (1st entry) or did you leave more room for another potential hunting for stop losses by big boys?

I would like ask also where did you TP 4th entry short. At the first bullish Strat's Saddle?
Were you confident to take this short, because new daily high was made and market failed to push more to the upside?

Which of these trades were you most confident with?

I would be happy to comment but that is not what I traded. I traded EURO FUTURES which is a different animal to FOREX EURUSD. Mark up my charts for me to comment.

when were taking the first entry, which I believe was rather aggressive.

Not aggressive at all with Hammer at Support.

Did you have SL right beneath the hammer (1st entry) or did you leave more room for another potential hunting for stop losses by big boys?

SL beneath the hammer is too much for my position/contract size - I would get out if PRICE dropped to 50% of that bull candle. I don't worry about stop hunting once I'm in a trade.

I would like ask also where did you TP 4th entry short.

Marked on the chart on a CLOSE above the 20 at Support.

Were you confident to take this short, because new daily high was made and market failed to push more to the upside?

Very confident because of LL/LH structure - new daily high has nothing to do with M1 trading and I don't look at daily or anything higher than M5.

Which of these trades were you most confident with?

Without sounding conceited and big headed, all of them - I know my stuff!

Also, my thought process does not take into account what anyone else is doing - only what PA and SR is doing. If I worried about all the stuff you have on your chart, I would never make a trade!

Hope this helps.

Thank you, yes, that helps, clarifies and simplifies everything.

I know from experience that paralysis of analysis can be a real bloker to making good trades.
I just try to understand what smart money is doing. I need to work on confidence when it comes to pulling a trigger and seeing bigger picture
gives me that to some extent.

Good job - well done.

You might want to consider an ADD ON above the trend line since the hammer was still in control with the Strat Shadow confirming the UP trend.

Thank you. I want to take only no-brainers like this one.
I know that this is "the secret" to be profitable plus as you have written adding on to the winning trades.
Both aspects can be screwed totally by psychology.
I always had problems with trade management let alone adding on to the position. After entering a trade I used to behave as if all the market analysis disappeared.
I was driven purely by my assumptions and second guessing.
I will bend over backwards to change that. Stick to the plan and read the chart, just as you did before taking the trade.
PLAN THE TRADE, TRADE THE PLAN!
Trade what you see, not what you expect. BE LIKE WATER MY FRIEND.
