I know being in the medical industry puts you away from the screen often, but why not make use of limit orders this way - mark your level, say buy 1.1350 for an arbitrary example. Then split your usual lot size into 3 - first position smallest position, enter your buy some pips higher, maybe 1.1355 or something. Second position is 1.1350 on the dot, slightly larger position. Third position some pips in the drawdown, maybe 1.1345, your largest position. Then fixed stop loss for all 3 micro positions. That way you won't have to fear missing trades if price barely scraps your level and you won't be there to execute it manually, and your risk is a little more spread out.

Thats why I scalp like a mfer when I get the chance lol,, ,,not a bad week overall ,, down on pip count just a bit from not being around good cp ,,, havent got the phone thing down quite like eng has lol

An easy one for me ,, takes a damn good trade for me to hold over a week end ,, but many do and it all works out ,, small risk probably okay

Your suggestion makes perfect sense and is the best solution. However, I have bad memories with pending orders. Never lucky with them. I love to enter at market. Remember that day London took price from 1.137x to 1.1480 within one hour of opening? I had a pending order at 1.142 (which was previously rugged support which was supposed to be resistance). I checked my tablet to see that madness. What made me keep the trade was seeing that ADR was stretched by London alone so I knew N.Y. would reverse. They did and I got out. Before I could blink, they took price back to 1.1480. Such overshoots have happened to me several times.

I'll keep modifying my trade strategy until I get the best. Being that I trade off the 4hr I hardly get my trade direction wrong, so maybe I should go back to halving my positions so as not to miss trades. Thanks for your suggestion.

I made a paltry roughly 20 pips today.

20 pips up beats 20 pips down or 40 pips in drawdown budd don't be too harsh on yourself. It's a Friday, take those 20 pips and get yourself a cold one for closing another day (and week) right!

Provided no big changes ,, still need a weekly open and a pivot ,,will be close to the mid point ,,but levels for next week ,,with a couple add libbed paths ,, means nothing reallly ,, trending mkts like to us weekly lows for down ,, trips to pivot common even in trending mkt ,,,, and if it gets there even with the big pattern retest of shoulder area not uncommon ,,,quarterly numbers 1330 ish still there and you have the recent high 1550ish ,, below quarteropen at 1445 ish so a bit od a bearish tilt because of that ,,,, make sure ya all spend a little time away from your charts ,,,its good for the mind and soul

All these little patterns like this you see on an m1 chart ,, same things happen on the longer charts bud ,, ya want lots of practice course the red is the 8 hour average ,,, that is what a bull flag look likes ,,, that is just a tiny tot tho ,, the thing is the hourly or the half hour all that shit works the same way ,,, just for levels a little farther a way and bigger fish fighting back and forth

Lol,, lets be clear it is a projection ,, pieces of a puzzle ,, if price gets above certain levels we go for the ride ,, we dont fight it because we have a projection to somewhere ,, just want to point that out ,, we trying to roll with the mkt ,,, zig when it zigs and zag when it zags ,,, we dont want to fight it ,, its a losing battle

You asked about a m1 chart earlier ,, I keep one floating around ,, but the m10 one can get the same things from in a bit more of a relaxed mid set ,, have watched charts for hours and hours one gets so the time frame is a moot point ,,but different times of the day each have their place ,,its all about picking out the little patterns and what levels they point to for an exit or an entry
