Can some tell me if it is possible to set up profiles such that there is a Master Profile and linked Detailed Profiles?
Let me tell you the scenario I am after. Let’s say you have one profile set up which follows a particular system for 10 pairs on a daily time frame. As you review this profile on a daily basis, say one pair looks interesting and you want to drill down to a detailed view profile which has that system applied for several lower time frames for that particular pair. In the conventional sense, this would require 10 detailed profiles, one for each of the pairs you are following in the master profile. That gives 11 profiles in total, which is manageable.
However, let’s say you wish to follow several different systems in different master profiles (each with a higher time frame). At this point, the number of detailed profiles starts to expand very quickly. Two systems = 22 profiles in total, three systems = 33 profiles in total, etc.
So my question is it possible to set up a master profile which is somehow linked to a detailed profile. So if you find a pair interesting in the Master profile for a particular system, you could access ONE detailed profile for that system (with lower time frames) which could apply to any of the pairs in the master? This would avoid multiple detailed profiles. So each Master Profile would have only one Detailed Profile which could be applied to any of the pairs.
I know about hitting “enter” and typing in a new pair on a chart, but that doesn’t create the level of automation I am looking for in just having one detailed profile for every master profile.
Maybe a script of some sort would work, but I have yet to read up on scripts.
Any tips and help would be appreciated.
