Volume rebates and "breakeven" EAs

so I have some "breakeven" EAs that I would like to run to get volume rebates.

But is it really safe ? or brokers will increase the spread if you sign up through an IB ?

Any experience with this service ?

You would be better to concentrate on making your "breakeven" EA's profitable rather than try for artificial advantages like this.
