Avoiding trading on major news events

If someone wanted to avoid trading during the "major" news events that can "significantly" move the British Pound and the Yen what would they be for each of these two currencies. Thanx

If you look on the Forex Factory homepage you'll see a news calendar at the top of the page. It names the news event, shows the currency it will likely affect, and shows the anticipated degree of impact on that currency.

Remember to consider both the base and counter currency you're trading.

Here are the "major" price movers of news events for the U.S. DATA REPORTS

1) Non Farm Payroll
2)FOMC(Interest Rates)
3)Trade Balance
4)Gross Domestic Product(GDP)
5)Retail Sales
6)Durable Goods
7)Inflation(CPI AND PPI)
8)Foreign Purchases(TIC Data)

What are the names that England and Japan have for these same type of reports. Thanx.....................
