Disliked{quote} GPips - I am trying to understand - how do you consider G/U short to be a valid set up? Thank youIgnored
Disliked{quote} See here... 2 bull candles followed by 2 bear candles plus the short V signal http://prntscr.com/fipafz Maybe you have a different broker server time which will distort the candle patterns. I never trade on anything but a NY close 5pm new day candle broker. Cheers GIgnored
Disliked{quote} Thank you GPips for your response. I am also in EST. The last 4 are matching with yours. I asked you because your chart shows 2 bull, 2 bear candles and bull for today, but I am only seeing 1 bear(6/6), 1 bull(6/7), 2 bears(6/8 & 6/9), 1 bull (6/11). https://prnt.sc/fipgyq I am using Oanda. May I know who your broker is?Ignored

Disliked{quote} kski, it makes no difference that you are in Eastern Time, what makes the difference is what GMT your broker platform is on. I can tell you this from your chart, you are not using a 5pm NY New Day/ New Candle. You are more then likely on GMT-5 In order to have a New Day 5pm EST Candle you need your server time to reflect GMT+2 I believe Oanda has both...Tell them you want to be switched! I do not want to be assigned as a commercial member here on FF so I am reluctant to post my recommended broker. Send me a pm with your contact info & I'll...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Hi Slingshots, There are two schools of thoughts here: Break through , so you place a pending order and once price pass the high / low of candle #4 you are in ( as illustrated by @SwingMan in post #217) Mechanical , you open the position once candle #5 is opened ( or you divide your position size by 3 and enter after retrace on same day or next day , remember it's a swing style so it's always good to save some gun powder ...) Choose what you feel better suits your trading style. RegardsIgnored
Disliked{quote} I trade three strategies in TE Sirius II , "V" is one of them but not the main. If we get more interest we can make a separate TE just for "V" in the future.Ignored
Disliked{quote} There doesn't seem to be much inerest or, maybe there is interest but because the system is so straightforward, there aren't many questions about it. There's also another thread discussing the V method but that one seems more complex https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=668957Ignored
Disliked{quote} That's the strength of it actually , simple and straightforward . yes , I've seen the other thread and prefer to keep things much easier , the more we add to a system the more it could fail over the long run . I have seen it in many threads before. You mentioned scalping the set up , so you take trades in a smaller TF based on daily V setup? Would you like to share more details as to : Which smaller TF you go down to ? and how do you decide open / close positions Any preferred pair? ThanksIgnored
