NYC-Trader-From rag to riches

Hey guys,

I think it is time to say hello and to start using the community. But before I start talking about my trading I want to give you a little backround imformation.
My name is Henning I am 18 years old and I come from Germany.

I've been interested in finances since I'm 11 my dad bought me a book about stocks and bonds to my birthday and since then I was addicted. I had my first contact with the stock market and forex with 15. My older brother opened a small forex account with 500$ and he gave me the full control over the account. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing I knew a bit about trends and S/R but that was it.

I was still able to make a profit from 10% in 2 months. Luckily I was smart enough to stop right there I told my brother that I need more time to learn and we closed the account. This account would probably not exist today if I would have traded further.
So I invested a lot of time in reading books and articles in the internet. A lot of garbage out there. So I spend 3 years with learning and trading demo and 2 weeks ago I opened my first live account.

I think I will publish some of my trades in the next few days so I can get some feedback.

My first live trade

I try to keep my trading as simple as possible no indicators just the naked chart. I don't have the time to day trade thats why all of my trades will be at H1 or H4.

As you can see from the color above this trade was a loss.

The first step in my trading is to have a look at the bigger picture. In my case it is always the D1 Chart. I only enter a trade if there is a stable trend on D1 which is going back. Alcoa moved from 39,45$ down to about 32$. But still above the last low from 28$. So I searched for a long opportunity.



The next step is to find a smaller trend in the same direction as the one from D1. I entered the trade at 33.75 with my SL at 32.60
The plan is that the big players push the trend from D1 up and I can trail my Sl at H1 till the high from 39$.

This trade "failed" like many others will in the future.
