Brothers, there are many people who live their lives testing robots after robots, why not share our experience?
Which robots are currently using the best robots?
Let's share!

So in your opinion they should use only manual technique. It is?
I believe in your opinion, however I myself programmed my manual technique in robot and get an income of 8 to 10% a month with 15% DD for example. I use the Wolfe Waves rule. However programmed in robot.

Right on my friend. I dont know why after all theses years people are still looking for the easy way to make money and it just blows my mind wow how naive somebody still thinks you can make money by a robot.
First of all we are all normal and regular people by that I mean we are neither a hedge fund manager nor an institutional trader. that being said do you really deep inside you believe they will let you make money???? if you think so then soon or later you will blow your account.
If there is any robot capable of tackling today's market it will never ever be in my hand and your hand and us normal people.
There are millions of robots that makes you excited after winning for 2 months, 3 months and 6 months max one year and then you think you are invincible. Slowly, Smoothly but surely you will try to be next hedge fund manager and increase your bets, your lots and there you suddenly bang they take you out in a matter of seconds.
Dont waste your time on robots. Try to learn and understand price action thats all you need and you cant be a millionaire . You can only make some decent money and thats it nothing more. Dont start creating imagination in your head you will soon be driving a Lamborghini, Living ocean view penthouse and having chicks around you. That is just in the movies.
Now if you are smart enough delete this EA and robot bullshit out of your head and invest your time, energy and money on basic knowledge and hard work. Thats it my friend.

You will never ever have access to a robot that will make you money on a regular basis. Cheers

You're right, and I'm aware of this of course. This topic is for those who start now, who think with robots is all a wonder and that they deceive themselves and only comes this in the long run. And with this topic I want to encourage first of all those who use robots, start to create their manual technique and dedicate some time of learning.
The title is flashy everyone comes to see, but so we can collaborate with each other.

Well, I have very bad experience on robot trading! Basically, in my early stage of trading I was so interested on robot or EA trading, but horrible trading experience! But now I am enjoying my live trading by doing manual trading, for now my mail weapon of trading is live technical and fundamental analysis! I seem, manual trading is reliable than any automatic trading strategy or robot! But yeah, I know many traders are trading here based on trading EAs!

I am still using your last year EA for the signals, using in my manual trading

Would be indeed grateful, if you could sell me with the source code.
I can pay for it with Paypal.
Please let me now.

It seems, that the main problem with automated trading is in the expectations which most amateurs have.
They expect the robot to do their thinking. Just install the magic EA, turn it On and enjoy the easy money......
This is crazy, naive and does not work in the long run!

The reality is that if you cannot make money by manual trading, you are also not going to make money with robots.
The purpose of the robots is NOT to think or to make strategic decisions. (This is the job of the trader!)
The purpose of the robots is to do the heavy lifting. All of the complex calculations. All repetitive tasks and all simple tasks which require speed and precision.......

In short, the robots are extremely good at executing predetermined strategies.

The soldiers use their weapon as extension of their hands. (this is their tool)
Skilled craftsman use their machines and tools as extension of their hands.

Factories use automated assembly lines because they are extremely efficient compared to manual workers.
But these robots are completely useless without the people who program them.
For example in a car factory, the engineers have to design each specific element as part of the whole.
Then the programmers have to "teach" the robotic arms. They basically input a system/template with predetermined coordinates and tasks.
After that the robot can just execute the tasks in the exact specific order 24/7 without stopping. Perfectly every time, without mistakes.

As traders we work entirely in the virtual world.
So we can use robots as tools and extensions of our brains.
If you want to execute some complex or demanding strategy within the next few minutes, or hours or days.....you don't have to sit with your calculator and your finger on the trigger waiting for the perfect moments.
You just program the computer, input all parameters of the strategy and then use the free time to do some more productive work. Or you can just enjoy the day out.
This is the right way to use robots in trading.

Market is dynamic and it does not move under certain rule(s). It can go either way anytime. While robots operate under some fixed rules i.e when to buy and when to sell. This is the why robots fail. Moreover, Majority of the robots build under some indicators. If indicators were supposed to give you money then there would have been many "Millionaires" around you. And if there was any "Make me Millionaire" indicator, it was not supposed to be in hand/available to us.

Market do not move under certain rules or strategy. Keeping this in mind, I am trying to develop a "Strategy less" robot with the help of few friends. As the market moves down , bears knocks out bulls and as the market moves up, bulls knocks out bears. And during consolidation , the friendly game continues between the bulls and bears. And finally a point comes when either bulls or bears takes the control of market and robot ending on huge collection of pips.

The robot is under back test from 2005 to 2017. And on forward test since two week. The forward test generated around 10K Pips (only operating on Gold and USDJPY) since now. While the back test results are below. The results of Forward tests are loaded on wall in form of T.Es. If my backtests survives upto 2017 then it will be a huge encouragement for me. In the same time, if demo accounts(starting balance: 1K) grows considerably then i will make the robot public here on FF and will invest the real money in it.

As a programmer I've written maybe 40-50 MT4 EAs, FWIW I posted my thoughts on the pros and cons of automated trading here.

Your DD is a bit concerning...other than that....excellent work. Yes, it is possible...welcome to the club. It is incredibly gratifying to create an app that will enter and exit trades per your strategy and to experience success with it. I feel sad for all those who will never enjoy this feeling.

So many folks have been unable to do what you have been able to accomplish. We hear time and time again how automated systems cannot be long-term profitable. But now you can just sit back and smile every time you hear that.

Congratulations on your trading.

Oh...one other thing...you worked hard to get to this point...don't ever share your trading app on a public forum like this. You will get lots of requests, but it is ok to respectfully decline.

hey miguel.... that would be me.....

my father and grandfather lived their whole lives planting gardens...... neither owned a tractor...... they never even sat in a tractors seat..... they planted manually..... and there is nothing wrong with that.....

nothing wrong with owning a dozen tractors either..... planting mechanically is my preference......
//---

well over 90% of my trades are placed by ea's..... the other 10% end in a loss......

what kills ea's is their simplicity..... it is extremely difficult to simply sell the instant the 15 minute cci moves below 0 and be long term profitable...... or buy when the 30 minute rsi crosses above 50..... or sell when the 60 minute hiekien ashi bar turns red..... or buy when the 240 macd crosses above it's signal line...... or sell when the daily fractal is broke...... or buy when the weekly 100 ma crosses above the 200..... i'm not saying for sure those things can't be done, but it will be extremely difficult doing them long term profitably.....

i've watched several people with live explorers make over a million dollars manually trading here..... have never seen anyone make over 300k using ea's..... that guy from jordan had a couple accounts running martingale ea's that came close......

the best ea is one that can both buy and sell on the exact same signal and each trade be profitable..... in other words trade direction would not matter.... that might take some thought to understand.....

common ea's you see posted everywhere think in shallow terms.... ea's must think deep.... or die.....h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

Hayseed I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying you don't use EAs at all? Or you use deep-thinking EAs?

You said you plant manually. From that I get you're a manual trader.

hey clem..... my father and grandfather planted manually..... planting mechanically is my preference......

i am the self proclaimed worst manual trader on forexfactory......

the overwhelming majority of my manual decision trades end in a loss..... the opposite is true for the ea's..... this is something i've admitted to many times before here..... some people are excellent manual traders.... i am not......

but i can code mind burning ea's...... it's those that sometimes run over 1000 wining trades in a row.... it's them..... not me.....

it's the creative code that appeals to me..... not hands on trading......h

It sounds like Hayseed's can. If a computer can beat Kasparov or Carlsson at chess, I'm pretty sure they can beat the market. I wish I'd learned to program as a child.
