I like to trade into and out of events. This way you have time to prepare for it
Here are some examples:
Trumps speech on China - bought gold 2 days before the speech - got 2K pips
Last weeks Brexit meeting. I bought EURGBP as there were concerns about the Brexit meeting +200pips
Then its like a sell the news trade. Once the news has been released - I will then usually reverse my trade
Really, we are looking for clear sentiment and a decent price.
I will trades cash rate meetings and central bank statements
