The purpose of this topic is to share relevant information to yen traders.
I have seen FF develop over the years from a basic forum to important and respected source of information for traders of all skill.

I've decided to make an effort to contribute this forum. This topic is that attempt.

Happy Trading!

Expectation by leading banks is for intervention to fail.

Goldman Sachs
"Sell AUDJPY @ 82.70, target 78.00, place your stops at 85.00"
They noted that they expect a rate cut of 25 points from the RBA later today and that although it has been priced in to some degree, it still should have an impact to the downside. They note that the Japanese intervention provides an attractive short entry.

Morgan Stanley also commented to investors today with an admission that a stop loss was tripped on a short GBPJPY from 122.80 for a loss of $86,000 USD. They noted that intervention trip their stop but that they remain bearish on GBPJPY. Due to low bond yields elsewhere and a Japanese positive net international investment, the yen is expected to remain strong. They are skeptical that Japan will be able to maintain a weak yen. They finalize by saying that they are looking to short GBPJPY at higher levels.

Credit Suisse also jumped onto the bandwagon by telling its financial investors to short USDJPY @ 79.30 with a stop at 81.00 and a take profit at 75.00 "Sell the rallies" they say.

Good luck and Happy Trading.
