Agility Trader 3 is free for a single instrument and a maximum of 2 buy and sell conditions. You need to register to receive the licence key for this version.

If you wish to use multiple instruments from a single chart or more than 2 conditions for buy or sell arguments, you need to purchase the upgrade (US60) at this link (from Post #1)

I'm starting with the AT3, and I might be asking some obvious questions, but I can't find the answers:

  1. What do you mean by "WMA 8"? In your set files you have a "AT3_wma.set" setfile, but what exactly does that "8" mean?
  2. In the Trades Reports screen I don't get the way the "Result" is calculated. I'm assuming that it's in the base currency. For example, I'm trading fix lots "0.01" of the XAUUSD, which is $10 per pip trading a standard lot. The first trade reads Pips = +30, but Result = +15 - If I've just made 30 pips I'd have $3 trading 0.01 lots. Why does the result screen show $15?

PD: Any news on the NLD? That indicator looks great.

Adding some screenshots for clarity. Please notice how for the AUDCAD trading 0.01 lots AT3 says I've won $19 whereas in reality I'd get $2.84.

8 means the number of periods. WMA8 plot is almost identical NLD20.

Results take into account the corelation of your base currency to the currency pair being traded and that is why the result does not directly relate to pip gain.

NLD problems relate to the highest and lowest calculations. You can still use the indicator. Just remove Highest and Lowest calculations for SL and use a nominated value for the time being. I will get to the problem this week

I expected the differece due to the correlation of the quote currency and my account base currency (or I'd had also expected the lack of it), but the difference seems to me somewhat high: 15 USD (or 15 AUD for that matter) vs $2.84, don't you think? It seems like a bug, or I might be overlooking something.

You are correct in the calculation

Also I suspect you have not changed your base currency in the inputs from EUR to AUD and that would account for the difference between $2.84 and $3.50 which should be the computed result. I will change the output in my next revision which will include the NLD solution.

Thanks, Dave. The base currency in the settings is "USD" - I changed it when I optimized the file. One more question for my understanding: that +15 in the results, is that in the base currency I set up in the second line of the AT3 (the "BaseCurrency" field), or is it always fixed as AUD? In other words, if I change the BaseCurrency in the AT3 settings and put, say, "EUR", "USD", "GBP", is that "Result" figure suppose to change to adapt to that BaseCurrency?

It is in the first mentioned currency of the pair traded but I will change the result to Base Currency in the revision.

I don't think you understand the concept of a set file. It has to be in a particular format. Agility Trader's format is different and an example is given at Post #1.

You don't need an expert advisor to achieve what you require.
Just place limit orders with SL and TP targets.

The message says that you will be taken to a registration page. That is a page on your web browser. In order for your web browser to open from within MT4, you need to enable DLL's within Tools, Options, Expert Advisors. (see diagram)

The companion program which is a separate program, and not related to the issue, opens by double-clicking on it (or single-click if you have that option enabled in your file system) as it is a self standing .exe file.

Tried to email you at [email protected] but the email keeps bouncing back.

Hello Jonas

I have sent you an email and also uploaded the companion program to Post #1. It was inadvertently omitted in the last build.

When you add extra conditions or extra pairs, you will automatically be prompted for the upgrade key or you can edit the file \MQL4\Files\Agility3.lic and replace the standard key with the upgrade key. (Note: There are no dashes in the upgrade key, just spaces)
Can AT3 use ex3 file as a customer indicator? Because some indicator have not mq4 file.
