Hi Forex Factory Forum

Thank you for your help in the past.

Is anyone else having difficulty with the update feed from Metatrader?

Since last week I've had to uninstall and reinstall Metatrader three times because I keep getting a recurring "Waiting For Updates" message. The website just doesn't seem to be updating on its own.

Has anyone else experienced this? And if you have, do you have any idea what the problem may be?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Regards

What broker's demo are you using, or is it from Metaquotes? If you have a problem with a demo you could try a demo from another broker.

Unless there is a problem on your computer you should not have to re-load the platform. The only time I had to re-load mine was during a software update that had a problem. You can have more than one demo on your computer. Try a demo from another broker. If it works better switch to it.

Thanks for your assistance nvwine.

After a few days, everything has just seem to right itself of its own accord.

Maybe it was a glitch in the website.

Anyway I appreciate your advice.

Take care.

Was having the same problem, just downloaded another brokers stuff and then I check back with SBFX every once in awhile. It seems to be waiting for updates every couple of days. This made me get a back-up.

Need my charts to trade....

Hi Turtle

Thanks for that info.

If you don't mind me asking, which broker did you download charts from when your SBFX was playing up?

I do have access to OANDA charts whom I have an account with. Love the broker, hate the charts. I find their EMA's hard to trust.

I love the Metatrader because I trade Vegas strategies which are made to order for MT4. When SBFX went down, it was panic stations all round.

Anyway thanks for your comment.

Take care

Regards

I exported my entire directory to a thumb drive, and am trying to bring it up. Why can't I use old ticks to run backtesting? I don't need or want to log in. How can I tell the platform that I don't need updates. It's just locked on this screen.
