For this conversion, first you figure out the number of minutes in a day. There are 60 minutes in an hour, and 24 hours in a day, so 60 x 24 = 1440 minutes in a day.
Then you divide those minutes in a day into the 1M TF EMA value in question:
250 / 1440 = 0.17361
So a 250 EMA on the 1M chart would be equivalent to a 0.17361 EMA on the Daily chart.
To arrive at whole numbers on the Daily, you would need rather large numbers on the 1M TF EMA:
1440 / 1440 = 1. Therefore, a 1440 EMA on the 1M TF would be equivalent to a 1 EMA on the Daily TF.
2880 / 1440 = 2. Therefore, 2880 on the 1M is equivalent to 2 on the D1.
For the equivalent of 5 EMA on the Daily chart, which is something I've used in a couple different strategies (but not in conjunction with the 1M TF), you would need a 7200 EMA on the 1M.
