Hi there, was having a hard time, turning on the EA

- allow auto trading checked under the tools options
-and enabled auto-trading on the toolbar above

but the EA smiley face is still frowning.

I'm trying also to test it ... on an XTB Demo account ... 2 days now, and 0 ops executed.

Will need a little debug to check what it's doing.

Hi Tarwada, as 9th candle can different for different brokers (Depending on their time zone), do you have a specific GMT time for the 9th candle in mind? May be its the London open?
The 9th candle opens at GMT+3.

Hi emonts, the EA has got problem to set tp and sl for pending orders, some times it is continuesly changing .
hope you can fix it. thanks

Update of EA.
Market is closed, so could not do a really good test.
But we have only 1 shot a day, so i published not fully tested to get quicker feedback.

You can define the pairs you want to trade by parameter settings. EU = EURUSD, NC = NZDCAD and so on.
Further the option to close all trades after reaching a defined amount of pips.
Of course at closing you will loose some pips.
Added button to close all trades.

So if "trade pre defined pairs" = false EA will trade 26 pairs?

And now the same SL and TP will work for trades and contra trades?

is that version will work in strategy tester? i tested on strategy tester but no trade were opened? please reply

Just The other way around.
If "Trade the predifined pairs = false" it will trade the pairs defined by the parameter "User defined pairs seperated by , ..."

my broker is hotforex and they are quoting pairs like EURUSDb HOW COULD I configure the ea to trade with that? many many thanks for your ea and your reply

Enabling the EA for backtests would save a lot of time to prove or disprove the initial hypothesis.

I'm not in favor of backtesting with MT4.
In this case we look at H1 bars and have tight SL and TP values.
So price wil be interpolated by MT4, for sure it will not really reflect the reality.
You can can go to M1 then history data is the limitation.

To my opinion the only good backtesting is gather tickdata from for instance Dukascopy
and code your own backtester. This wil not be MT4.
I did in the past but is a lot of work.
