Alert for OsMA Color indicator?

Hi. I would really appreciate if someone could help me add an alert to this indicator. Whenever the bars changes colour i want the alert.

I have tried to do this myself but with my limited skills i only managed to get an alert to appear every single second...

If you could help me out that would be great,

I wish I could help! I'm looking for the same thing. It's probably something simple, but learning to program is like learning another language for me...

I downloaded the EA and applied it to a chart, but I do not see different colored bars, I only see silver bars.

Really? I just downloaded the same one on this thread, just to check, and I got colored bars without making any adjustments.

It's just an indicator, not an expert adviser. Does that make a difference, or are those terms one in the same? I'm not up on my Metatrader Lingo.

First, its not an EA but a custom indicator. Second, since you get silver bars perhaps you added the original OsMA to your chart? The one you should use is the one called OsMA Color

has anyone added an alert to ANY osma custom indicator for when it changes colour?
specifically when the bar closes and it has changed from above to below, or from below to above.

how's the search? is it that hard to find?
p.s. though it easier to wait until Magnum or Akuma put it on, but well...

Well, apparently I'm still a total newbie when it comes to trading, especially when it comes to coding . I've been trading almost 2 years and finally have something worth trading. I've got a system that I know is, and can be profitable but I miss a lot of trades due to the fact that I can’t find a indicator that can alert me when what is happening close to when I need to open a position.
So I came to the conclusion that I need to code the thing myself .Easier said than done if you have absolutely no coding experience. Well I have been reading everything I could find on the net the past 3 days. I have downloaded all the material I could find on coding indicators an ea’s for mt4. But with no luck. I want something that I think is a bit complex, but very possible if only I had some experience.
I am not asking anyone to code the indicator for me (although it would be very much appreciated ) What I really want is some help.
PS. I have gone through about 20 divergence and other custom indicators to see how “pro’s” would do something similar, but always got stuck!
Ok here goes:
I need a way to get and “mark” the tops and bottoms of every “swing” of a osma (12,26,9) and be able to get and “mark” the relevant price for every swing.
I define a swing as follow:
A swing up would be from the point the osma goes + to the point it goes – (above the 0 line)
A swing down would be from the point the osma goes – to the point it goes + (below the 0 line)
Now this is what I’ve got so far….. please don’t laugh I am a newbie

The code suck I know, but this is how I thought of getting the high and low points. Would something like that work? And how do I get the price (market price) that corresponds with the osma high and lows?
And how would I Mark that position on the osma and the price
I will attach a image as well, cause I think my explanation can be a bit shaky.
Please feel free to joke about my coding skills and what I am trying to achieve, but please some advice would be much appreciated!!!

hey mfrossouw..... divergence in some indicators is an easy code..... osma or macd are not as easy ......

here is an osma divergence attempt by fx5..... the more you study it the more you will see how difficult it is to define/quantify 'divergence'......

the newbie ladder has many rungs, we're not that far ahead of ya...... keep climbin..... it can be slippery at times so be careful though...... i think one of those yahoo's ahead of us brought a bucket of grease...... just to cut down on the competition , if ya know what i mean......h

PS. You do not know of an indicator that alerts you when the price moves above or below the high or low of the Asian session? Thanx in advance !

Be careful what you wish for. No matter what trading method you use, you should be watching the price series continuously and closely. No watching TV! You will find that adding any kind of automation to an indicator will make you lazy, and you will miss trades.

hey 0sam..... it might sound funny but i code to much to remember the finer points of what i wrote..... usually i have to look back at the code.....

most channel indicators will just be the same indicator offset above and below some amount of distance...... there might be 1, 2 or more bands.....

the trs + - pips is an example of setting the channels in multiples of the atr..... such as a atr(20) and multiple of 2, plots 2 atr's above..... a multiple of -2, plots 2 atrs below.....

zigzag wave is example of +/- pips above a line section.....

the raghee horner wave would be an exception..... it's simply raghees wave.....

guppy selectable......

some are simple..... some have variables.... some have none..... some are single timeframe.... some are multi-timeframe..... some are a combination of timeframes....

they seem to be most useful when taken in stride with surrounding time frames....h
