Realistic or unrealistic?
This sounds like a great idea, right? I would rather be doing something else than be glued to the screen all day long, "leave it to the pros".
I like the idea of Zulutrade. But, I am very skeptical of it. I would love for it to work though, of course.
One ting I have noticed is that Zulutrade "statistics" are simply BULLSHIT. The so called "ROI" figure does NOT match the real account! How they manage to get away with bullshit figures of NEGATIVE drawdown and way over the top ROI figures, is beyond my comprehension. It seems it is "because" they "calculate" it differently. Right, so 2+2 is 14 because you calculate it with a different formula. I don't fucking think so! What kind of BULLSHIT is going through these people's minds? How about being honest and giving users the real statistics instead of made up voodooo bullshit?
Okay, so I said I would love for it to work. The concept I guess is that you invest in the "best" traders based on their Zulu rank. But it seems those who reach the top usually don't stay at the top? This makes me question whether the "Zulu rank" has any merit whatsoever. Are there ANY good traders on Zulutrade?? By "good" I mean consistently profitable over time with consistently low risk. A winning streak does not make you a good trader.
I remember opening a demo account and investing in all the top 20 traders and kept the risk meter relatively low. Great diversification and with only the best traders, sounds brilliant doesn't it? Well, I was quite disappointed when the return after one month was NEGATIVE (not by much, but this means the so-called "best" traders couldn't manage to eek out a positive return in a month). If the sum of the "best" traders is negative, then what is the point of Zulutrade?
I would love to hear you people's opinions on this subject. I am no expert on this, I have only "researched" it superficially.
If I could make 25% annually from Zulutrade with consistently low risk/drawdown AND with some diversification, I would consider that a success.
Run debate!
