Dislikedfinal post on daily goals topic... just for clarification on where my head is when I say I am used to tapping into opportunity cycles instead of a fixed goal in tick Ran all my Divergence from Mean algo on today's session and Session range so far is 566Ticks, Profit goal was 50% of session range "at the time of entry". Profit gained 271Ticks (half of 566Ticks). Risk Reward: variable Outcome: predictable based on pure math if in profit. Same logic can be applied to daily loss goals as well. The model and trading plan needs to be predictable in regards...Ignored
DislikedSince we are all approaching tax filing time (April 15th here in the USA), could we discuss reporting of gains and losses from futures trading? I had my first loss day yesterday so thinking about loss carryover and limits is something on my mind. I have been using turbotax since the 1990s (takes under 60 mins and I am done with filing!) and forex loss and gains were just a simgle line item of me to take as "ordinary income". With futures, I believe it is different involving capital gains. I have not received any tax document from my broker from...Ignored
