This is a thread for my to analyze and critique my trades. Feel free to comment or ask questions.
These GU trades were made after the post-jobs report washout was easing off.
1. This trade was good, entry should have been a little lower. Market was moving frigging fast though. Exit was solid.
2. This trade also should have been entered a little lower. Exit was good, but I probably should have given the market another couple bars to break above that level and not just taken it off there.
3. This trade was actually not the smartest. I was trying to play a bounce off 1.45... I was just a little too bullish the GU and not perfectly in sync with the market. I pulled it the next cycle, but I should have pulled it as the market was attempting to retrace back up and not waited until I realized it was not going to make it back up. Could have made back ten more pips.
Bottom line... The entries were a little high on the first two trades because of a very slight amount of fear and hesitation in entry.
As for the third trade... I should not bother with bounces. I should only take setups that can run like the first two. If the rally is late stage... Wait for consolidation and for the next one to set up.
