from what i researched it was abandoned till 2019 then renovated into a boutique hotel. was supposed to be haunted. "tycoon jack" as he was know because he was a real estate tycoon had it built for himself and his family and the other house for his business associates(at least thats what one of the articles said).

I won't spoil the rest of the legend in case its part of this lesson
