I was a floor trader in the Options pits in NY! I came with full credentials. I also wrote trading applications for some of the major Investment Banks, Commercial Banks and trading houses in NYC / Wall Street. I kinda knew what I was talking about from multiple angles, including the academic theoretical perspective as well as the functional perspectives.
I clearly were in childish environs, when that heckling occurred, from that popular website, where fickle mike rules supreme, from south america, formerly from the land of the alamo.
Either way to sunday, Alexandria, you just made a trading buddy.
One thing I can clue us traders in on, is we all have chosen a career (as traders, no matter whom we represent; our families, our hedge funds; our trading groups, etc.) where we pit our simplistic knowledge against the teachers, and I mean singular and multiple PhD's who teach Quantative Analysis MBA programs.
Another thing I remember from my floor days, and from the older generation of traders, was the phschological exercise, of trying to mentally fill in the other pieces of the (pizza) pie slices with names, so we had some idea of whom else was trading same vehicle or class of vehicles at the marketplace. That always helped keep things in perspective.
... good trading to you all!
