you want to rewrite this thread into a book but it's not even finished.. we're all still writing it.
there must be pdf lying around here somewhere. might be reinventing the wheel as it was, why not just compile the first 200 pages as is usually recommended? save you time and trouble

i think that with books like Master the Markets aka Make the Markets your B*tch, people think that they can command the market.. when it is the market that is the mentor.

and when the market rewards you for doing well, you might keep on doing what you think works... but that's rigid, the mind must always be open to new tricks.

Writing it's for personal use and to put to use musle memory

your right a wrong direction is still a direction when you talk about price action. But i if your trading/mindset/ money-management. goes in the wrong direction it's catatropic.

my own catastropic experiences, on demo accounts made me want to reply.

Thanks,had my own share of catastropic experiences on real acounts.stoped using demos for trading long time ago<used small accounts instead,cause in is real money(MY MONEY!!)Demo just doesn't feel real to me.

all kinds of different traders trade different timeframes wich make forex pretty fractal, direction is realtive if you leave FTI's advice to follow the daily trend) /// if you follow the trend there can only be wrong timing.....enter at a better price/level.... i think it;s good to be a bull ot bear and cut your losses short ... and ride if it goes your way....

just to add something about 'no direction'.. not taking a direction is also a type of position:

i think that when i started trading i saw the charts move up and down, up and down. i turned my monitor sideways and the charts moved to the left and to the right.

when intrinsically they represent the Value of something Real. increase in value/ decrease in value. but most people see the graphs and take a direction, they go up and down.. up and down.

it's like when i saw direction, i think north south east west.. but there's also up and down.

and in space there is no upright position, it's all relative to the center.
