lol just when I thought I was finally on the right track. The reading surely will continue. Interesting how stubborn my mind is. Well I know there's progress, just not seeing the next step. Well more reading is in order, that's all I can think of... as you are suggesting also.

You see my friend, I am also experiencing difficulties. Fear for lack of time remaining due to body conditions also is begining play games with my mind. But mostly i try clobber it into control once i recognise the deception. I still fail recognise time is infinite. Only the body is not. And desperation can surely play gamess with the mind. All my life i lived in a systems cage invented by others. Thinking break away from the cage in my twinlight. But the mind is prisoner.and system will not allow. used to be we start live after 50, now some twisted mind in sg says 65. nfact, the truth is never, unless God intervenes. the nature of greed.

Yep, that post rang a lot of bells. Unfortunately, I've devised clever ways of pretending to be someone else in order not to face reality and give my ego a 'bit' of a hit. The trick for me is to find a balance when addressing my ego because as you pointed out... a good trader can't be someone with a big ego or someone with no ego... humility however does make a good trader. Finding that golden centre is proving tricky for me.

Hi FTI, Zoran, Leghsww and all other fellow trader,

I am new to this FF. I Have just come across this amazing thread of yours three days ago and been trying to read all the post from the beginning. My English is not good as English is not my language, so reading speed is kinda bit slow for me. Can only read about 10 pages a day. I have finished my first 40 pages of this thread, so still have about 1,600 pages to go... But I will read them all, even that it will take me a few months to finish up.

Just want to thank you for all the effort you have put into and thanks all other participant of this thread.

FTI, I sincerely hope you get well soon.

At the end of the day what your looking for really does take years to comprehend and about 5 minutes to implement.
Your definitely on the right track studying what fti has given us all here.
Keep in mind some things will simply be over any given person's "head" at any given point in time, and as long as we're aware of our current limitations we can still implement what we do know just as easily with results to match.

yes you are right, sir. greed, fear,etc are standing in our own way. not just the rich and powerful, almost everyone. so i think it's us. we all live in systerms. all institutionalized. very sad.
but maybe it can be looked at more positively. human being is the only kind that can think in advance for its own good. we will learn, though very often as the last resort.

I'm new to this thread...I don't post often because I'm still working my way through and I don't feel I have much to contribute. After reading your earlier posts today, I feel compelled to say THANK YOU! What you have taught me transcends trading and forex and I don't think I can put a monetary value on it.

Most people possess sight, but very few possess vision. To me...vision is the ability to look deep within ourselves to find God's lights and use this light to see beyond what is presented before us. Thanks for giving so much of yourself and allowing us to gleam some of your vision.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Have "they" been, perhaps, snowballing their shorts since then?

I think you are new poster on this thread .
Is hard explain everything to everyone who comes ask 1 line questions that requires me write a whole economic manual to explain.
But nonetheless, let me try if i can get you see things in the right perspective.

The fact that you are doing research on the subject indicates to me your hunger for knowledge on the subject.
It is easy for me just direct you to an economic course of study. But ithink i will do you a little favour start you off on the right mindset.

You see, the greenback(usd) is not a bad thing that had been invented to harm everyone.
In fact, it is the backbone and permier currency for international trade and commerce.Especially after WW2.
The fact that it had been badly managed for a little time now does not take away it's usefulness as an exchange machanism to facilitate international trading in exchange of goods amongst nations. The usd had since its inception carried its resposibilities well, in as an easily exchangeable vehicle for trade with strong underlying characteristics as store of value and portability. For this reason nearly anything can be traded for the usd, even in and espcialy in nations of the third world economies.
When the greenbag was fully convertable for gold, it was the carte blanck for trading. Since bretton woods and her nixon 's disengagement from the gold standard, much is changed. Nonetheless , she still commands the standards for exchange unmatched by any other vehicle.
So its not like you think, that they had been snowballing shorts. Its just that some peeps had been thinking of ways abuse her position to solve short term problems by putting in position rigid economic policys and ideas.Of course the blantant free printing and rediculous multiplyer effect by bad credit practises had created difficult stageplay of her exchangability and stability. However having said that, the world has not found a better way and machanism for exchange and payment for goods and services yet.Of course when things get really out of control , all will need take a step back and go back to days of barter trade. But thats a whole different kettle of fish to discuss.

By the way would you accept your paychecks in RMB or the rupiah?
Think about it carefully. Maybe in seashells or rice?

store of value?durability? And stability of governance?
