Not sure about anyone else, but I find it extremely difficult to trade since I unfortunately have to be away from the computer quite a bit due to a fulltime job and family obligations.
I modified an indicator template so that I could be notified via email with a screen shot of when an appropriate crossover has taken place as per harold4x's strategy.
I'm not an expert coder by any stretch, but I do believe my logic and code are correct but I'm getting some funny signals and was hoping that someone could take a look at it to confirm. My suspision is that metatrader is not properly incorporating the dailies when issuing the signals on the hourly charts...
In any case I think this could hugely benefit those that use this strategy.
Please - I need a fresh pair of eyes to review.
I've also included the additional files needed to email the screenshot and notes in the zip file on how it works and what steps are required to set it up properly. I can't support that functionality but I do know that it will only work with SENDING emails with a pop3 account, not a web based email such as gmail or hotmail. However, receiving emails it can go to any address.
I've also included my test that only uses signals on hourly charts without referring to the daily charts and it seems to work fine - if we can't fix the one that attempts to include both daily and hourly, hope some of you find the hourly one useful at least.
As an intermediate workaround I added a 'direction' condition that you must manually put in at the beginning of each new day 00h00 GMT. Once the daily tells you which way to look input 'up' or 'down' for the DailyDirection variable and place the indicator on the hourly chart.

hi mike ok here is the deal at the close of the daily candle you get the direction so lets say its long on gbpusd is there a way that starting at 2 am est it can notify your phone when ema cross rsi cross and stoc cross to upside? ok here are tomorrows many signals cadjpy short eurcad long gbpchf short gbpjpy short gbpusd short ibfx shows short on eurjpy but my platform that i trade on says no cross of ema so for me no signal
lazy
we have UK news out @ 09:30 GMT
may be worth taking profit before even if its a small one, better than a loss
Ignored
Yes, I took profit around +30 pips when it first fell right before London Session opened. London has made some nasty reversals lately, so I closed it to be safe.

morning all everyone should have made money last night 5 pairs to chose from i took 2 shorts out of the 5 my favorite gbpjpy for +50 and gbpusd for +30 i only take 2 at a time and these 2 are my faves
hi harold great system, so simple even i can follow without breaking the rules.
i have one question that i dont think has been asked if it has been sorry.
how many 1 hour signals will you take off of each daily signal.
for example gpy/jpy crossed at the 2 am est candle could have got 50 pips like you said you did. the ma's then crossed up if they cross down again will you open another position
thanks again for this great system

no problem this is not a hard strategy to follow just find direction on daily and then look for trades going in that direction only does it win all the time no but the wins out weigh the losses by plenty sometimes there will be no trades for the day but overall you should be able to make very good money trading with the larger time frame trend in my opinion is the key to the mint lol
