DislikedMystic,
I noticed that a vast majority of your entries did NOT happen near the top of the hour. The Demark signal alerts at the top of the hour. I'm wondering if there's a reason that you enter most of your trades well after the signal has alerted. Are you looking at other data to hone your entry after the signal occurs. I'm very familiar with all your posts and I think I have a grasp of what you're looking at, but I'm not clear as to why some of your trades go in so long after the signal.
If you look at Auto's journal, you'll see that most all of his trades are just after the top of the hour. Yes he's trading the signal only which is probably why he's able to pop off trades quickly, but is there a method to your "madness"?
Anyway...any inights here would be great.
Thanks,

Sorry folks---could not post due to health reasons--- coming to the great question by NW trader---TrevA already illustrated beautifully---just to add my 2 cents: As I said, my trading is largely discretionary---I don't follow all the signals blindly---I selectively pick the best of them, the ones with high probabilities consistent w/ prevailing market sentiments---yes, I do have losers, but I cut them before they eat out all my profits---and when I cut them, mostly, the trend is also reversing, hence I stop reverse them which brings me atleast to b/e if not a larger profit---
Anyway, it has been an exciting trading year for me---lots of learning & experience---i'm still learning & will continue to improve my trading next yr---my last winning trade today was Usd/cad short trade (so surprising if you noticed--in spite of good gdp & retail sales no. this pair started moving atleast after 1 hr!)---banked 50 pips for Christmas & New Yr's dinner
I wish you all happy holidays & profitable 2008!!
