Apologies if this has been asked before. But I haven't come across one so far.

What session do you prefer to trade and why ?

I personally prefer asian session for AUD /NZD/JPY pairs and London and NY for EUR/USD pairs. I've also noticed reversals or continuation of an existing moves occurs at certain times or periods that helps me to "sort" of time my entries along with pattern formations.

How about you guys ?

The UK daytime session.

Because I live in the UK.

So the main instruments I trade are GBP/USD and EUR/USD. This works out luckily for me, because they're also two of the lowest-dealing-cost and most highly traded ones, and I can trade them during their RTH.

I know I'd find the Asian session and other out-of-hours trading far more difficult, and the dealing costs far higher, and I don't like the spreads on other pairs. I do sometimes look at USD/CAD and USD/CHF as well, but I can trade those during the UK afternoon, too, if I really need to.

Similar to Xela. 6:30 to around 10 or 11 UK time. EUR/USD, GBP/USD and AUD/USD are my most important pairs. I tend to trade more on Fridays though.

Why?
Because of decent movement and low trading costs. Calling it a day at around 11 is quite lovely too, not too crowded in the Gym then.

I also trade are GBP/USD and EUR/USD. I like European and American session, because I live in Europe. But also I like and EUR/JPY pair. Look closely at it.
The same tight spreads and high volatility.
