{quote} Your welcome chucrut, During my back tests news were ignored. I will have to wait and see how it performs on red news in forward testing. Anyway with Reward to Risk of at least 2, I don't think that will be an issue. Remember also that I am not interfering with the EA whatsoever. All trades are opened by the EA and closed at either TP or SL determined by the EA. The last example was NSD/USD which almost reached TP three times in three days, and finally closed at SL today. The NZD trade cost me 1R = 1% as all other losing trades, However...

I think you should put distance between opening and closing prices of candles restrictions into account, you should add a trailing stop.

I think you should put distance between opening and closing prices of candles restrictions into account, it should add a stop loss or profit on the mobile protection, that there are a lot of list found in the test from a profit a lot to later stop.I always used to do a single candle swallowed, the success rate is very high,

Trailing stop point is clear, and already added to update list on post 1. Although I see the robot is doing well so far with out it.

but the first point regarding "candles restrictions" is un-clear to me

Can you elaborate more on that ?

Hi Khalil,
I'm following your great work!
According to my experience, a trailing stop often stops out very good trades before letting them to hit the target profit. This highly affect the performance of the strategy. However, I have noticed that moving the stop loss to breakeven when the trade is in half profit avoids a considerable number of trades to end with a loss.

Best,
Math

I can corroborate that. In my testing to date, Targets make more than Trailing Stops. BE also makes more than a simple stop.

Great work you are dong here. I will keep watching from the sideline.

For your case blamshakk, your broker time is equal to mine, so if you want to trade the European session you can set the time from 9 to 19.

Due to frequent questions regarding trade time filter, I have added a description on post # 1.
This will be the last response regarding the time filter.

Engulfer completed 4 days of trading on 6 majors, with acceptable results. (9% return and 3% max dd).
17 trades were taken, 9 winners and 8 losers. with Reward to Risk of 2 to 1.

Top performers were EURUSD and USDJPY
Worst performers were GBPUSD and NZDUSD

You're welcome Robasker,

Engulfer is only a 4-days baby, Its too early to trade it on a live account.
Please read the Risk Warning on post 1.

I wouldn't go live with a robot unless it shows consistency over at least 200 trades, with min draw down, and acceptable return.

All the best,

Khalil
