Reading through this article I found from the Independent newspaper published in Sept 1992, two weeks after the 'Black Wednesday' and Geroge Soros's coup de grāce. The article is a simple Q&A to readers outlining the basics of the FX market mostly covering the Interbank side but also currency speculation. Back then the global fx market was just $1bn not the $6bn+ we have today... It also talks about the difficulty 12 Member countries are having in forming a single currency union
