{quote} You mean as soon as you click on a Fire button, both the maket order and pending order are opened by the EA, but right after that the pending order is closed?

Hello, everyone!

This is my first post on FF, and I hope no one minds if it is a question. I cannot seem to understand the "magic number". What is it exactly? What is it used for? What must it be changed into? What is its purpose? I have no idea, I am stuck, and I thought asking can't do any harm, but can only provide advantages. Zero risk, and potentially high reward, so to speak.

Thank you to those who are willing to answer and enlighten me!

Good day to you all!

Someone mentioned 'you only describe the winning scenario'. Indeed this is a concern. The losing scenario, as you replied later, consists of one losing trade: this is wrong. The losing scenario consists of hundreds or even thousands of small losses. Effectively "death by a thousand cuts".

The advantage of a martingale strategy, is that your account balance grows on each win. This means that for a reverse martingale, your account balance actually shrinks. It also means that after every loss, your position size also shrinks and that a potential "win" wouldn't be that huge any more.

Anyway I think this is doomed. It will be a jackpot idea indeed: almost impossible to win, almost certain to lose.

Iam not telling to trade continuously

as as a trader we will trade with some or the other strategy or with the help of indicators

so when u are placing that trade place with this Ea

my only idea was to get max benefit from our trade

we will ànyways. Place the SL for every trade so we also place SL for this initial trade

Did anybody test the EA last friday? NFP , I think we may be on to something and can use this EA to trade the news by entering both sell and buy positions before the news but the problem is spreads before the news , can any broker guarantee low spreads during the news? some I believe use the news as an excuse to widen their spreads the more, anyway I will continue my test with all high impact news on demo and see how it goes.

Math what do u say for example if you place a hedge trade to recover initial loss

example:

placed buy order 1.00 with take profit 10pip if it hit tp it is fine we will open new order
second case:
if it reverse and again after 5 pips of reverse we will place a pending order of 2.00 lot sell assume market got reverse and trigger this pending order
so we have now 2.00 with 10 pip tp and the tp of the first order also shld move to the tp of second order so if market went 10 pips in he direction of second trade it is fine both trade will be closed

Third case:
image market moves reverse after second trade triggered we will again place a double third trade pending 4.00 buy at 5 pips distance with Tp of 10 pips
and other 2 trades tp should move tp of third trade

and it goes on

as we are placing hedge at 5 pips only i dont think at any point market will hit third condition until unless market in slow movement after new york hours

What do u say Math

Hi MathTrader, I know you like to help with code, can you please help me code an indicator I plead, looking at the chart I need something that can measure the pips distance from the lowest or highest point/reading of the 200 ema (blue line) visible on the 15 mins chart shown to the current point of the 200 ema.

If the indicator can just read the distance in pips and show the number on the chart and also automatically when above 100 pips show NO TRADE but less than 100 pips will say TRADE, is this possible to be done Sir.

When it hits, the jackpot will be substantial, similar to pyramiding. Market Gaps are the enemy here, as we previously witnessed in CHF pairs this year. Caught in a maxed margin - built up long position would have likely ended in owing the broker money. Build up into a position - that if gapped against won't result in a permanent loss.
Patience like a Cheetah - awaiting the exact right moment.
