here's my thoughts after 12 hours of rainbow watching (6 days, 2 hours every day). rainbow is very different from daryl guppy or alan hull's methods. the only thing similar is using the mma's. it's more like tape reading and it actually is a kind of tape reading - rainbow reading. thank you mr troll for offering your method, i find it the most exciting way of trading. it's only now that i understand that there's no need to implement rainbow or parts of it in other strategies or on different time frames. everything is already here

Absolutely... You got that right... MMAs also not EMAs... It is WMAs and no space between groups... and it is fine tuned to work on 5 sec chart... different colors make the difference...

again, thanks for help.

I do not know who moved it... 5 stars are gone too... Hope Merlin the Magic Man will move it back to discussion... I like to keep this thread under discussion - not under Trading Systems... or create a new forum Scalping and move all the scalping methods there...

both... never tweak the Rainbow, unless you know what you are doing... why did you take the entry there? very late entry for an aggressive scalp... spine is almost flat... post the full screen so that I can see the v-line and h-line interval...

Bisar, look at the angle of the spine - the longer MAs. That will give you the trend - and your entry is when the spine is close to horizontal.
Hope that helps!
BTW, I can't always put this into practice myself yet - amazing how difficult it is to sit on one's hands sometimes!

This is where bisar_x entered. It could be called random spike in low momentum market rather than breakout. With hindsight

I know... I wanted to see his full chart to help him with zoom level, spine etc...
Possibly he must consider using original Rainbow with color, so that he can follow the spine (white line) easily... Make sense?

Welcome Sir!

I am learning from experience a very important point:
never beat yourself up, call yourself names etc.
It creates negative feedback that influences your results - negatively!
We are mostly all on demo, micro and mini's. If we want to
think of trading 10+ lots we need confidence even after a
"bad" trade!

Nice to have you with us!

Brent

Observe the time and the price of when the trade was taken...

Time was 2 and 1/2 hours after London Open... E/J had slowed...

Price had already minced around significant ***.50 level for an hour after Session open...

And like others have said... No Spine...

[Easy for me to say after the fact I know, but I have been watching solidly since before Session open today... Saw this... Never even considered it...]
