Tried to call the top on the usd/jpy.

Reason I took this trade:

Top was forming, likely to go down in direction of trend.

(probably not enough good reason to take this, somewhat
emotional trade)

Stopped out for 8 pips plus spread...

first of all, i'm breaking my own rule not to trade on Sunday night... hmm...

anyway, my spidey-sense told me something was going to happen...

Turns out I was right...

lost 4 pips trying to catch an upmove and then made 22 pips on the way down....

No good reasons to enter these trades other than intuition and price action.

just took 2 more trades,... tried to catch USD/JPY on the way down again
and since EUR/JPY fell quite i bit, i bought that as a hedge...

Probably overtrading already... This journaling is very helpful.

I see I am already overtrading and should wait for better reasons
to get into trades...

These are NOT good trades but I'll post result shortly.

and i know this..still trying to formulate.

Anyway, took a trade just now, long on usd/jpy:

Here's a trade i took based on trying to pick the low.
Using MACD crossing its trigger line after a downspike.
Also stochs are oversold.

Moving averages showing choppiness...yellow should swing back to red.

got stopped out for 10.

Rentered... Notice this time stochs cut through 20%...should have
waited for that.

Then move trade to hourly chart and set SL 32 pips TP 39 pips:

here's a nice uptrend with good support lines...

Price expected to go higher, all emas in right order, daily and weekly pivot supports with mac-d
waving higher...

Here is a counter trade to the du jour system, with Macd showing price
turn around... plus we have a nice bottom with candle sticks and
trade is in direction of the long term trend....

turns out price did go up...unfortunately, i set my SL to B.E. when at 8 pips of profit and it took me out for BE.... maybe SL at 15 is good sometimes...

Or maybe just unlucky trade...BE is not bad.

off the table, SL to +1 pip, stopped out...

i needed to see price confirm the signal which it didnt, given
the previous small upmove... and the spike
