Hey guys. Dax was moving pretty well yesterday. I took 23 pips by 2 trades. I had only few minutes to watch it. Anybody else had a good day?

Happened me exactly the same, too.
Solved by entering the whole number 3.0 not only 3! (on micro not 300 but 300.0), then it again works as usually.

Edit: also to check, you have more than 5000 bars in the history, for me is 20000 enough.

Hey guys. I finally had some free time to take some actual trades this week and in the first two days i found out that my charts were wrong it turns out that RenkoLiveChart kinda repaints my charts and smooths them out. That has given me the wrong impression i had this last month that this is really easy to trade. So last two days were not bad but definitely worse then before and at the end of the day i was not profitable. The biggest reason was the big amount of trades i took (20+ per day) and that i couldn't control the losses that good because everything happened too fast in most cases. So i decided i will now wait for setups with divergence on the MACD and TLB (this will give me less setups) also take partial profits and let the trade open until another divergence or return to BE. Will see how it goes.

Hey, I followed the thread to test the renko charts but unsuccessful. I am bit new to fx just learning using mt5. Have copied the exe in the MQL5>Experts>Advisor but still unable to see it in mt5 application on the right hand side. Any suggestions please.

All indicators and templates here are made for mt4. However, you can probably find mt5 counterparts if you look for them.

Hi, Thanks just realised that have downloaded mt4 seems to be appeared under EA.

Sorry for no posting regularly, new strategy works for me, but I don't think guys here in thread are interested in 10 pips trades. Today I couldn't resist, entries were absolutely clear so I grabbed what I could. It's like "Trading Christmas", see these old DAX moves after over an year.

Mt4 does not save ticks, so when you close and restart your mt4, the renko chart might change slightly. OVO apparently saves tick data for its open offline charts, so it never changes after close/open/refresh. Arguably unimportant, but interesting feature to have.
edit. I say unimportant as what matters ultimately is how you interpret the pa that is happening now. If you want to go history diving, then this may be of use.

I was trying to desconstruct why you may have taken the trades. The first appeared to be a breakout of the previous two highs. The second one I wasn't sure. The third looked like a retest of the high that occurred at 14:55. Any comments? Thanks.
The last two looks like hidden deviation trades to me

I can't resist trading more than 1 trade a day if I can see so clear opportunities, it's breaking rule, but as far as I can make pips from it I am going to break it more often .

I marked whole situation for you, chart is repainted little bit because of Renko chart missing tick data, but it has no affect on my trades. Big bounce of 12000.0 was absolutely obvious signal of market taking some pullback (nothing special after those few red days), so I just waited for confirmation and opened trades on pullbacks.

Same here with the STG. After each run I'm changing value of Renko size, e.g 300 on 500 and back, then is all regular.

I like the Renko charts that display tails, albeit I use Range Bars. The point is, as you no doubt realise Mat, both are great aids used in conjunction with basic TA such as support/resistance etc. Good stuff Matomi.
