Hello everyone and welcome!
I have started this thread to keep myself accountable, share my insights, trades and also to communicate with other traders as well as getting feedback. I started trading since 2011 and it has been a long and rough journey with sweats and tears. It's also a very lonely business where you have no one to talk to.
My trading style is swing and position trading, I found this is the style that suits me the most after trying day trading and scalping as it gives me the lifestyle I want and also the time for me to do my research and analysis. Most of my swing trades last from a few days to a few weeks while most of my position trades last from a few weeks to a several months.
The way I trade is based on price action with minimal indicators and a few fundamental factors. There are tons of information about price action trading on the internet for us to learn but beware of being overwhelm by the wealth of information. Price action to me isn't just about candlestick patterns or chart patterns, it's about understanding the bulls and bears behind a group of candles which is hard to describe in words but can be learned through experiences and active participation in the market. The time frames that I trade are 4hours charts and above which gives enough time for a slow mind like me to analyze the market.
My learning curve started on babypips and it's a great site for beginners to learn from. It's fun and interesting, it's unlikely for anyone to get bored after a few pages. After getting the basics done, I didn't continue my learning curve on forums instead I go on to FXStreet where there are a lot of professional traders giving out their analysis and conduct webinars. I found forums is quite crowded with too much information and abbreviations which might be hard for beginners to sift through all these information and get confused but after some time, we will be able to slowly grab all the abbreviations and understand what they try to deliver.
I will post my trades before and after the facts in this thread to keep myself accountable but please do not follow my trades as I might have losses here and there and it's also not a good idea to follow a trade blindly. I will also share my insights and any other good stuff here so that I may review them back some day in the future.
Wishing everyone a good day and happy hunting!
