Hello guys,

I am a programmer like many of you. Which broker has a nice API?

Oanda.com has a pretty old Java API, and it charges for using it. Forex.com has nice webservices, but the 3 pips spread is just too much for me...

Also, do some brokers make historical intraday data available? I have found this:
http://ratedata.gaincapital.com/

What are you using? And do you ever leave the trading system completely alone?

thanks

Do you mean using a auto trading program or do you mean using a mechanical approach?

I do not use an auto trade program... I am a hands on kind of person..

You should try the Meta Trader (it's free). There are a few brokers, like IBFX, who support this platform. It's very nice for what you are looking for...

Does the automated (programmed) trading work?
Probably not, although some will disagree... but it will help you to define your own methodologies and rules. It's a great learning experience.
