Actually what I need to know is if anyone is running any ECN specifically EFX group on a Ubuntu machine. Beyond that I need to know what steps to take to get the same results. I don't want to have to install windows again. I might try to emulate a windows machine and then install it there but I would rather run EFX Navigator emulated natively without a virtual machine.
EFX's Navigator was only programmed for Windows, so I'm guessing it will only work in Windows. Their Forex Pro is simply an add-on for Navigator, so that'll only work in Windows as well.
As for ECNs and Linux, Interactive Brokers and Dukascopy have web-based trading software which is platform independent, and API capabilities if you feel ambitious enough to program your own trading platform. Also, IB has a "Unix" version of their trading platform, but I dunno if this applies to Linux as well.
