if you don't want to lose all templates, indis, etc - like I did

i've just lost all my profiles,templates and indicators since february it seems... ( fortunately i've saved on usb my templates yesterday... premonition power i guess ^^ )

i open this thread just to encourage you to save all your files,documents,etc on other support to don't be in the same situation than me.

I've run Malwarebytes anti-malware, adwcleaner,etc to erase cossminn 2.0 ( a ******* adware which make appear ads when you're surfing ) ,

of course it didn't work.... but now all since february has been erased from metatrader !!

don't know if it's metatrader which is not well thought, programmed or if it's really a problem of these anti spywares
but the result is the same.

You lose all your work !!!

( N.B. : i have to re-open around 175 charts and remember, find all the pairs that i was looking...
hope it will save some of you of this boring task... )

oh !

in fact all is yet there but MT4 is linked to another directory !

How can i relink mt4 to te previous one ??


the upper directory is the one is opened when i open since mT4 " data folder "

and the one below is the good one

you could run mt4 in portable mode, the folder structure would then be
mt4-folder/MQL4/Indicators (etc.), I think an how to can be found in this thread http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=470340 or via forumsearch/google

the problem is solved ( i've just transferred all the documents of roaming>... in the new directory , hope there will be no bug )
