Hey Whiteout,
First off, let me say that I am trilled that you started a journal here as I was a fan of yours on a site which I will not mention here. ha Regardless, I have fashioned much of my trading style after the good old doc myself and I have pretty much lived ate and slept his material for almost a year now. So needless to say I am glad I have stumbled upon your page here at FF because we trade the same style (although you are obviously much more experienced). So my question to you is about a GU long I took earlier today. The issue I have is getting to the point where I know the gig is truly up in the prevailing trend. I know the main trend was bearish but i got my bullish DP consumption and was planing to hold this one to the 4hr sr I have marked on my chart. I am currently in the stage where I know the principles that I must abide by, but sometimes the execution is what gets me. I also get to a point where I start seeing SR all over the place and it gets hard for me to step back and find just the "important" SR areas. IDK would you have taken a trade like this or would you have waited for a new direction to be confirmed on a daily close before looking for longs??

The brain is the best indicator there is. The heart reprints too much.
