Disliked{quote} hi dongsky, thank you very much, i will write what is going in my mind ... here in the journal. please grace my journal on what i am doing wrong. currently i am averaging around 6% / month. that is without escalating the risk (not increasing the base x), except for 1 or 2 occasions. the equity graph tell it alll. if its a rescue, exit was at about 0.5% and curve goes sideways. if its a attack, exit was at about 2% and curve goes north. then there are some other exceptions (abandons losses). my equity curve is here. https://www.myfxbook.com/members/pan...LAEQ5N3IsZWz45...Ignored

Disliked{quote} I couldn't agree more on these words. But we have, dear friend, all the TAF readers as opponents on that! They are certain that the only thing that matters is the bottom line.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Hi pannet1 My friend in my experience you need at least 1000 trades on your equity chart to see how well you are doing and if your MO is viable, when I was trading only short term I used to do about 300 trades a month, your trading needs to be tested/shown over a long period of time/trades to get a good idea of what it really says about what you are doing (ideally about a year with 1000’s of trades). As Alex says it is a long journey…. Rigidity kills because once you are outside your numbers/boundary you will have great conflict in your...Ignored

Dislikedtry to understand the market - like what you called a 'momentum bar', would it be nice if you know the reason behind the creation of that bar... why it occurs or happened? in my experience, once you see the 'momentum bar' then often than not, you're too late, and you decided to wait for correction to enter but this will be a struggle for an experienced person like me ... it's easy to spot on the hindsight though. when you trade a live account... then your real journey begins. good luck to you.Ignored
Disliked... on DAX.... We face a serious R. With all the due consequences! No need to say that Crude Oil could be well influenced by the moves on indeces (especially USA). So watch out.Ignored

DislikedThat was my first technical target in this up move on DAX. 670/675. Now the real difficulties do begin. We face a serious R. With all the due consequences! And the second possible target hi... is really, really higher!!! But, funny to say, I have now some house money to spend in my scouting for the proper direction. LOL Enjoy all your trading... not only the winners. Study and practice. Practice and study (the right things!). No need to say that Crude Oil could be well influenced by the moves on indeces (especially USA). So watch...Ignored

Disliked{quote} thanks phil, i think i will reach the 1000 trade mark first before the 1 year time period. is it OK to look at it after 1000 trades, to get a meaning out of it (is my MO viable). thanks once again for your invaluable feedback. this one is from METATRADER, another way to look at the same trades. {image}Ignored
DislikedThe MT4/5 charts are the ones I use to keep an eye on myself, they tell you so much about your mindset and what you are doing, forget the numbers/data at the bottom it is rubbish and will only create problems if you try to compete to get those stats up, you can have major negative pips in a trade but still be in profit momentary wise, when using scouts you may see loads of losing trades in the stats for example but you may well be having a good consistent profit run because you are winning the major battles by letting the scouts take on the...Ignored
DislikedHow steep the trend angle is does not overly matter so long as it is consistent and fairly stable in its run, this will mean you are doing what you do consistently to enhance the support and survival of your book.Ignored
DislikedI know some likely disagree with me on analysing yourself and keeping an eye on the money (the state) but if you lose or seriously damage the state (your money/account) then you have nothing and FTI said there are only 3 rules in trading 1. Protect your book, 2. Protect your book, 3. Do not forget rules 1 and 2. Believe me keeping a spy in your own camp looking and letting it tell tales about you is a good idea because that spy will show you when you have an issue of some sort way before you recognise it yourself, by the time you see it the...Ignored
DislikedThe 1000 trade thing is a good starting point to assess what and the way you are doing things (all things), from there on you should not be seeing any deviation outside your trend lines, it is a constant battle with your mind to maintain it at an optimal level to trade with, for me I found along the way that you/me are the biggest (and only) threat to the states (books) survival, it needs considerable study to understand it and re-train it to be able to trade. A good trader is made up of a blend of different elements, fti states this in his...Ignored
DislikedJust a side note, you seem very fixated on the skews almost as if you think that is where the ‘magic’ is in fti’s thread, it is not!, the ‘magic’ has to be trained into you to be able to be as adaptable and flexible with your MO as the market is with it moves.
I have marked up your chart below to show you what I see.
Good luck my friend.Ignored
