I see the details of everybody's postings and market calls, but what are the results? What are the max drawdowns? Max gains? Max losses, % winners, % losers, etc.? I searched through them, but some have stopped posting, and I couldn't find the results on a lot.

I figure I would post this here because the Journal factory is specifically for posters. I'd let the moderator decide if its worthy of being moved!

Thanks for the info. One incredible inspiration it is in this world to have the fruits of these excercises rewarded!

At the start of my journal I stated I had around 250$. Mini

I had it to 8k. Beginning of the year it fell to 5k.

I am now going to open a standard account with that 5k next week.

I do not recomend starting with 250$. I recomend 2500$ to start.

Befor comming on this forum I lost mabe 1500$ befor I started profiting on a regular basis.

All my methods are fully disclosed in my thread. I won't explain how I did it on this thread.

New account is interbank group, 400:1 leverage, 5-10 lot trades, 5-10 pips per trade. I won't discuss the logic behind my leverage, lot sizes, profit targets here either. I am simply providing an answer to the origonal threads question.
Expected profits are 500-1k$ per trade.
In other words I am tired of making small money. Time to make a living!!!

Dave

edit: win/loss % vareis to time of year but on average I am 60% right over the long haul. I can maintain 85% or better for a couple months as I did the first 3 in my thread. And now. But at the beginning of the year I started losing. So when My account hit 5k I stopped live trades untill I figured out what my problem was. It was simple...over confidence, and I got away from looking at pivot points.
I posted a demo where I was 34% accurate but still doubled the account in 2 weeks. That was a test. With 400:1 leverage and 5-10 lots. and 8k To make sure I could have a poor week or 2 and not loose my account.

Hope this answers your questions.

I dont write any journals, but I am sure the Holy Grail is worth working on it.

Max gains? - the longer you play the more you gain my average is over 20% monthly...so far
Max losses? - 10%
% winners, % losers - about 75% winners

Remember that after you find your edge you still have to control your emotions what is not that easy Even knowing that your edge still work, you have to face the drawdowns and believe in your system. In other words you have to accept that drawdowns are the part of the game!!!

Good luck!

Forex is unpredictable. As I played with small money last year I made a ultra-stable results few months in a row. As I started with bigger money in january the chart was not that predictable any more. I still reach my targets in average but actually it is not that stable in the weekly summary. Be aware of handycaps like that

Zazzy, that's incredible. What pairs are you trading? What indicators do you use. If your >75% win, thats the edge everyone needs. But what time frame are you using. Thanks

Profitsee, I removed my objection to post results, because I misunderstood your question. You are asking for people to list results in terms of Percentages, not in terms of actual dollar amounts. So my answer that I would not disclose how much I earn, seemed not appropreate. I think your questions raised here are very valid.... Thanks SMJ

I play range on low-volatility pairs. I look only at price. 75% sounds good but my wins are small and losses large. Nothing incredible I think

What is it that you like about low volatility? I have traded GBPUSD, specifically for it's higher volatility. I have liked the bigger bang for the buck. But it can be a wild ride at times. I really had not considered lower volatility... I would be very interested in your take on this... thanks SMJ

Zazzy,

I do not mean to be a pest, but what do you mean by range player. Are you trading channels? The reason I ask, is lately I have done quite well trading both directions on the v4, because GBPUSD has been range bound as defined by Vegas in doc1. I posted my results in the is anyone successful with VWB thread.

Do you find the lower volatility safer? thanks scott

Zazzy... sounds very interesting and reasonable. What are your favorite low volatility pairs?

Would you consider AUDUSD low or high? Thanks for any advice here.

my system fits 2-3 pairs, I prefer not to say any more, I am sorry. I took a look at AUDUSD - my system will make losses with it.

Ah I see. One of those secret systems. OK.
I didn't think that AUDUSD would qualify.

Zazzy, I understand that you cannot talk about your system, but I was wondering what are your most traded pairs? The idea of lower volatility intrigues me as I am a GBPUSD type of trader...

Thanks SMJ

look, as I look at it now it is really simple, few rules, few exceptions, nothing special, but to develop it I spent two years so I prefere to take profits first and then write journals. Sorry, the thread was about results, not systems.
