Fractals can't be used in trading a trend obviously unless it's with the trend, but what about using fractals instead as an exit point on a profitable trade? Such as a higher time frame fractal for your exit (example trading on 1h chart and taking an exit once you get a 4h fractal in the opposite direction)?

When you are referring to fractal, do you just mean swing highs and lows? If so, why do say that they can't be used in trading a trend?

I mean they can't be used solely on their own..there should be other parameters met besides a new high or low
