I lost some money last year, not much just a few hundred quid and decided to pack it in. But this year I decided to give it another go, something keeps drawing me in, maybe it's the illusion of lots of money, yes I know it's a bit of a dream. I demoed for a few months and did amazingly well so decided to go live and try a more fundamental approach to trading, more conservative than the demo account. My starting account size is tiny and I don't have any problems with sound money management.

As a result of this, I have an average loss of £1 and an average win of £2 and I'm finding the whole experience just boring! That's less than a cup of coffee, it seems nothing. So if increasing my tiny account by 2% is boring, will increasing a £100k account by 2% be just as boring, what do you think? (assuming I get there...)

Personally, I think that if you find trading boring then you are getting it right.

I'm a bit of a "screen watcher" so I do exercise's...drink loads of tea, and swear a the telly if I disagree with somebody on bloomberg.

I know for a fact that if I just sit at the PC, then the boredom will make me take a trade that I otherwise wouldn't.
Sorry, I cant help with the £100k question....I'm still climbing that hill myself

Regards,
Paul.

I have been trading since 2004 and still find ways to amuse myself. Only hobby though. No real money at stake ($1000. on average). I only trade the Daily time frame and could care less about News. 50 to 100 pip win is goal. 1 to 4 trades a month maybe. Small account = more trades. More trades = more chances to kill account. I harvest small wins 100 to 300 bucks (usually). Only hobby as I would never trust an FX Broker with "real" funds. Even if I had them.

It's a learning process... making money isn't your priority, making consistent gain is. You will find consistency very challenge to you.
cheers.
Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.

It gets really boring as you achieve consistency. when you have a nice system that generates you good returns, you will need something else
to occupy your day
