Tips for backtest programs?

Hello , I'm getting crazy here. I would like to backtest my strategy manually, not a program that does it for me. I want to backtest on a 30 minute chart, and i would like to use tradingview since the best charts are here, But i can't get far enough back. even tho i have the Pro account, i want to go back to maybe 1980.s and backtest from there. And i really hate Metatrader for backtesting. Also E-signal is too expensive for me, do you guys have any tips for me? What kind of program do you guys use? Even tho i download historical data on MT4, i can't get far enough back with a 30 min chart.
