I downloaded MT4 demo from North Finance and installed it. As normal it went to the registration screen, but when I tried to proceed, it just hung and didn't populate the login info. I've had MT4 previously installed from SBFX and that still seems to work normally. I notice that the registration process pre-populated my registration details from somewhere (the registry?), so I'm wondering if this previous install has somehow confused the North Finance MT4 install. Any ideas?

If it hung on the first screen. Did you check the box in the lower left corner on the registration screen? The box agreeing to accept the newsletter. If it hung on the second screen did you scan the servers to make sure one of them was active?

Yes...did that...it found the demo server and went to the next screen...gave a message saying "Registration Wait a little please"....the progress bar takes about 20 secs to complete then it makes a sound and hangs...no login details are displayed and I don't get the welcome email, so it appears to have not registered.

Found this thread when I had the same issue. Fixed it by selecting a trading server instead.
