Can anyone provide any resources to learn to write code for MT4? I looked on Amazon but there's no books or anything....

After looking at it I realized that MT4 just uses C++ for the most part....so now I have to go learn that!

Oh well.

Yup, it uses C++ for the most part.. But if you already know of any programming language, what's all left for you to do is to learn the syntax and program Objects which still requires some time to learn..

Thanks also for the link GoatT... C++ is also on my list of program langs to study...
knowing c++ syntax isn't enough. first start up real smal project. like an indicator. read a section on reference, and create something. then read something else, and create somthing out of that. this is imo, getting ur hands dirty method, which is by far the most reward way to learn stuff.

Be careful live-trading with one. There are a lot of issues that don't crop up in the demo like spike ticks that you can't trade, connection problems, trading errors, delays, etc.
