Disliked{quote} And yet he looks so professional in that video. Goes to show you that you really have to do your due diligence when investing, doesn't matter if it's a stock (Enron), hedge fund (Maddoff) or a bond (Argentina).Ignored
DislikedHere is what happened to all of the "wall street warriors" featured on the show: Just some highlight, one is a ponzi scheme runner that's serving jail time right now, one is totally bombed out and is now teaching and writing for financial website like TheStreet.com and another is not even a trader but an actress hired from craiglist. http://pennystockwhizzkid.com/wall-s...-are-they-now/ Here is the detail about what happened to that big-shot hedge fund manager but had his mom clean his bathroom and make his bed and called...Ignored
Disliked{quote} A lot of people on this forum are making a lot of flippant remarks without really doing their research. I can understand the hatred but Tim Sykes is doing very well. I've been following him for many years. Tim still trades Penny stocks and makes over $100K doing that (even though he isn't serious about it). His main business is teaching (which he openly says he makes $700K a year from). He doesn't do that because he isn't a success but because penny stocks isn't scale-able. Since he's dealing with penny stocks, there are major liquidity...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Some of the guys are legit I can tell and they are real traders. The Specialist in the New York Stock Exchange, the commodity trader guy who trades in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and even that blond girl that interviews prospective fund managers and puts deals together but the rest's got fluffs. Tim Sykes' got his moment but he loses big too and notice he is making more money teaching and from his blogs than actual trading. Yeah he can spin it all he wants "wanting to see the little guy succeed". If he REALLY wants to help the little...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I understand your argument, and some parts I agree with. I understand that of people who can't be successful will just try and teach or some kind of scam or opportunity to get quick money. I've been following Tim Sykes long enough to know that isn't who he is. Firstly, he actually prefers teaching over trading. Trading isn't very fulfilling. I've been trading for 10 years, read about 60 books and use to spend about 14+ hour days doing it. My greatest satisfaction actually comes from teaching others. When you make a lot of money it frees...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Lastly, Tim Sykes does have a horrible image. He comes across as a sleazy car salesman with the way he talks and makes his videos. He does obnoxious things (many intentionally) to try and get attention. All that doesn't mean he's a horrible person, but most will jump to that conclusion (including myself if I didn't follow him for as long as i have). He use to do free livestream videos every week for free where he's go over his trades and answer questions. I got to know him very well. His image is bad but...Ignored
