{quote} So you only use the ASCTrend1Arrow and the TVI2 and do not even bother with MTF matrix at all? Do you only use the alert on the 1min charts?
Ignored
Correct, I removed the matrix as the TVI and the ASCTrend are IMO sufficient and as I have said, the TVI actually gives three separate signals. I only set the ASCT popup to active on my 1m charts, its passive on my 5m.

PS I do of course have higher TF charts, including printed out 4hr charts pinned to the wall behind my monitors....I update these by hand every morning....

set to 8 for both 1 and 5 min? Is there an explanation of what the risk factor calculates?

I use 6 on the 5m.....I have not seen one. For me, it is just a nice alert that doesn't fire off as much as the price crossing an EMA that I used before.
Try different settings to find which is best for you

I have some questions about the different Stochastics indicators in use here and the different settings. I found all theese versions posted in this thread:

!UltraStochastics
!UltraStochastics color line
AllStochasticsAuto
ColorStochastic 1.04

And some is using 11,3,3 setting, others 8,3,3.

autobotsgo is using M1 charts with UltraStochasticsColor, on M5 and M30
rooi is using M1 charts with UltraStochasticsColor with D line hidden, on M5 and M15

Is this thread strictly to chart at M1 timeframe? Does it work on M5? Should the stochs be the same or adjusted in some way when trading both M1 and M5 charts?

Everybody has their own opnion and prefrance. This thread's name is 1min bla bla bla BUT you can post 5min charts and trades and ideas as we all work on higher time frames anyway.PA is fractal after all 1min is 5min is 1hr etc

I have that setup that you mentioned but also do my "normal" daily alanylisis on the 5min/1hr/Daily but its no compulsory for trading 1min chart.(My opinion )

Just set the MTF stoch to 1hr and 4hr if you want to trade 15min chart or any combination of TF you like

Islander and them use the 30min stoch I think.Depending on what you want your trading time frame to be?

Hope that helps

LOL - google translate embarrassed me didnt it

Well generally if you are British then the beer drinking and pretty girls are not a problem.

Listen I have to run out for a bit. Will be back later. If you are not here when I get back then all the best for the weekend seeing as summer is vacating
Cape Town and taking all the beer drinking and braaing weather over to your side.

All the Best

My last post for today....the green time lines are GMT +2 and are at the arrows. When the alert pops up, check to see if it fits YOUR entry criteria, if so, take the trade, bank some pips when it stalls and enter again after its "rested" and got back to the area of 25 EMA .... exit all at your target.....

A good weekend to all - hope you guys in SA have the weather for it too....

EU

1.4000 Is Psychological resistance and break above 1.4020 can go to 1.4140

1.3833 is acting as support and break below this value can bring consolidation area between 1.3800 and 1.3833. (My favorite area).

Break below 1.3800 can go to 1.3707.

Captain,

Likewise have a good read (homework or pleasure) ?. Out of interest have tried 8,3,3 on the M5, rather than 11,3,3..?

Best all

Working out how to stay with these 1m swings is difficult - bank safe pips or look for more - catch 22......once the trade is moving I look at both EU and UJ on 1m, 5m and 15m and try to work out what MIGHT happen.....

I bought EJ in the 8:05 bar....
